Ty Gwyrdd (Green Cottage) was sympathetically renovated in 2010 from an outbuilding & has been used as a holiday let since this time.
The cottage itself is furnished to a good standard throughout making it comfortable for couples or families. Visit Wales have rated it 4 Star.
It sleeps 5/6 people + travel cot in 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, some on ground floor for ease of access.
There is parking for 2 cars right beside the cottage & a private enclosed garden which is ideal for bird watching or just relaxing & enjoying the spectacular sunsets & views whilst having a barbeque on the patio area. The garden is child & pet friendly adjoining 1 of our fields, often home to sheep or ponies.
The cottage has retained some original features such as small windows with slate window sills & roof beams yet has modern facilities to ensure you enjoy your stay.
It has oil central heating as well as solar panels to boost the hot water supply.
Our aim is to be family friendly as well as pet friendly, therefore we offer travel cots, high chairs, stair gates, bed guards & more free of charge during your stay.
We hope you’ll enjoy using our well equipped oak kitchen with large farmhouse dining table that easily seats 6. A ceramic hob & electric fan oven, slow cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer are just some of the appliances.
In the cosy lounge are 2 double leather sofas, another chair & leatherette beanbags plus additional cane seating in the conservatory/sun room. There is Free WiFi. Smart TV with Netflix (bring your code) Radio/CD Player (no DVD), coffee table, lamp, mat & under stair cupboard with all your airing, ironing, cleaning appliances.
Downstairs has a lovely tiled floor throughout so that your pets may enjoy being in any 3 of the communal living areas. Kitchen/dining room, living room & conservatory.
The ground floor Twin Bedroom is carpeted & suits those who prefer to live/sleep on the ground floor. Next to this is a large shower cubicle with pull down mobility seat & hand rails, hand basin & toilet.
There are 2 more bedrooms upstairs, a large King Size Bedroom with small TV and space for our travel cot or child mattress if required. A Single Room which can sleep 2 using a full size pull out truckle bed stored underneath the main bed. This is ideal for 2 children who need to sleep nearer their parents but best as a single for 1 adult due to limited space once both beds are pulled out.
Along the carpeted hallway is a compact upstairs bathroom with a shower over the bath, glass bath panel, toilet & hand basin.
Beds are freshly made up for your arrival & towels provided for each person & hand towels in each bathroom. Kitchen linen & dishwashing tablets are provided for you. Please bring your own beach towels if required.
Outside the conservatory is the patio area which has rustic furniture. A newly constructed garage now houses the recycling bins, BBQ, swing ball & other beach toys, kids surf boards, sun parasol, beach windbreak. It’s also good for storage of large items & drying out wetsuits.
Beside the kitchen door is a little porch housing the washing machine, tumble dryer & laundry basket & pegs. The washing line is just outside your fenced private garden area.
